The front of the glass is Corning Inc.'s unique ceramic-hardened or "Ceramic Shield" glass, while the rear of the glass is Corning Inc.'s unique Dual-Ion Exchange toughened glass from a prior generation. The three cameras on the back are the same as those in  bigger apertures and an additional LiDAR scanner.

There are four color options for the new iPhone 12 Plus and 12 Pro Max: precious metals, graphite, gold, and and oceanic azure. Midnight Green has been replaced by a new color called Pacific Blue, while Space Grey
been renamed to Graphit.
