Apple VR Headset Likely Launch Date Identified

According to GSMArena, Apple has declared a "special event" where it is most likely to unveil its much awaited AR/VR headset.
The keynote address begins at 10 a.m. PDT, the traditional time slot for Apple's major technological debuts, on June 5.

The WWDC event, Apple's developer conference, is just getting started at this point. As previously reported by Bloomberg and others, Apple is anticipated to introduce the headgear at the event.
The most recent piece of information about the headset comes from Palmer Luckey, creator of Oculus VR, who tweeted "the Apple headset is so good," indicating he has used it already. This makes sense, but considering how highly guarded Apple is about launches compared to other tech titans, you have to question if it would be happy with such a pre-announcement remark.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple is "well prepared" for a June release, despite earlier claims that the firm could need to postpone the headset's manufacture, pushing the actual retail debut into 2023.
Of course, this is still a possibility, and few people are going to splurge on an Apple VR headset on a whim.

According to early rumors, the price might reach $3000, which would be double the Meta Quest Pro's debut price. Although Meta has not provided sales data for this expensive headgear, the company's move to slash $500 off the price just months after introduction was interpreted as a sign that it was not doing particularly well.
Similar issues have been observed with the Sony PSVR 2, with sales apparently falling short of Sony's projections. Given that both of these headsets are superb in terms of technology, Apple must defy the trend in order for its headset to be a success.
Apple is undoubtedly starting from scratch. Within Apple's hardware family, there is no VR ecosystem. The iPhone app store does not rely much on AR apps, despite the fact that it has showcased them at numerous iPhone debuts.
The term "xrOS" has recently been registered by Apple, and it may be the name of the firm's next VR and AR operating system. Extended reality (XR) is a general word that refers to virtual reality, mixed reality, and augmented reality.
Apple's first headgear is anticipated to resemble a regular VR headset more closely, with its augmented reality experiences being given via a number of cameras that replicate the environment around the wearer. But the business also apparently intends to introduce AR smart glasses.
going forward.
